Purpose
This committee serves the East Tennessee Leadership Chapter members and potential members through sponsoring and organizing leadership education, mentoring and personal development activities selected to complement company and organizational needs.
Objectives
- Provide management/leadership education information and coursework complementary to corporate Training and Development offerings.
- Provide networking opportunities for augmentation of internal corporate course offerings.
- Serve company, member, and potential member development needs through identifying potential mentors and mentorees.
- Fulfill professional development requirement for the NMA Outstanding Chapter Award.
Activities
- Tie NMA into company course offerings to increase NMA membership and provide continued networking of participants.
- Obtain CEUs for corporate courses.
- Offer brown-bag lunches to discuss current leadership topics or offer NMA courses during lunch and learn sessions.
- Co-sponsor 2-3 leadership seminars for managers.
- Assist in members’ and potential members’ professional development through identifying 10 potential mentors and 25 potential mentorees for the Mentoring Program.
