Purpose
This committee serves the East Tennessee Leadership Chapter members and potential members through sponsoring and organizing courses which fit within or complement the Certified Manager Program and prime DOE contractor education and training programs in Oak Ridge.
Objectives
- Provide management education information and coursework complementary to company training and development offerings.
- Stimulate member and potential member interest in becoming Certified Managers (CM) through the NMA-affiliated Institute of Certified Professional Managers’ (ICPM) certification program.
- Fulfill or exceed professional development requirements for the NMA Outstanding Chapter Award.
Activities
- Conduct NMA Course – Communications (1.4 CEUs).
- Inform chapter members and potential members of the details and values of obtaining the CM status through NMA.
- Provide CM Exam Notes and “information” to interested employees.
- Provide the CM Exam for interested employees.
- Obtain recognition for those who successfully complete the CM program.
